SMOKSTIK

Smokstik is a St. Louis-based original group featuring Kingvegas on Warr Guitar and vocals. Smokstik released the "Bugs" album in 1998 and "2" in 2010. They performed in a variety of venues throughout the Northeast and Midwest including the Middle East, CBGB's, The Rat, TT the Bear's, The Hi Pointe and many more.

SMOKSTIK- 2 (2010)

SMOKSTIK's most recent release- "2"- was recorded in 2002 with drummer Joe Meyer featuring John "KINGVEGAS" Kiehne on Warr Guitar and vocals. Recorded in St. Charles, MO utilizing Sally T's music venue to track drums and KINGVEGAS' home studio for the rest- these 8 tunes defined what the band was about at the time.

SMOKSTIK- BUGS (1998)

SMOKSTIK'S first CD and download release- "Bugs"- was released in 1998 and featured Hillary Koogler on drums and KINGVEGAS on Chapman Stick and vocals. Drum tracks were recorded in a family member's large living room and the rest was tracked in the home studio using 8 ADAT tracks. This disc got some great reviews and has nearly sold out of the original pressing.

MIXTAPE

Mixtape is a cover group featuring Kingvegas on guitar and bass, Aaron Popp on bass and vocals, Tim Bay on guitar and vocals and Mike Lowder on drums. They play a wide variety of cover material ranging from country to classic rock to hip hop to dance. Check them out at WWW.MIXTAPEROCKS.COM.

THE BROWN NOTE

THE BROWN NOTE is a cover group based out of St. Louis, MO that performs a wide variety of rock, pop, R&B, hip hop and dance music with a few other surprises as well. Featuring KINGVEGAS (aka John Kiehne) on Warr Guitar and vocals, Radomir Ratkovic on drums and vocals. The Brown Note offers a high-energy song list designed to fill dance floors and entertain.This dynamic duo sounds like a full band and provides you with an exciting visual and audio experience.

KINGVEGAS has performed in a wide variety of St. Louis- area groups including Mixtape, Swing Cat Swing, Lexx Luthor, Mystic Voyage, Julius Williams, Lamar Harris and many others as well as doing many solo and duo gigs around town. He plays the Warr Guitar which allows him to play guitar, bass and synthesizer parts simultaneously.Kingvegas has also performed and released original music with his group Smokstik as well as recording and touring with numerous other artists over the years.

Born and raised in Yugoslavia/Bosnia, drummer/ percussionist Radomir Ratkovic has been playing with a wide variety of bands in the area since his move to St. Louis in 1996. Bands he has played with are Lenny Klinger Promotions' Galaxy, Nevada Push, Supercrush (original music, recorded with), Dr. No, Leo (original music), Boone Project (cover/original, recorded with), Rob Garland & the Blue Monks, Oday Project, My Friend Mike, The Police tribute, Big Dirty (original, recording session), Dead End (recorded with), Stone Cowboy, nFuzr, Clave Sol, Albosy, American Idle, Worst Case Scenario.
